OUR MISSION

The American Legion Auxiliary was formed to aid The American Legion in carrying out the great program of peacetime service to America to which The American Legion is dedicated. All of its activities are designed to promote the work of The American Legion and to help The American Legion reach its objectives. Although often working independently on projects of its own, the Auxiliary has no purposes which are apart from the aims of The American Legion, and its members serve side by side with the members of The American Legion in a spirit of unselfish devotions to the well being of the American republic.

Rehabilitation of Disabled Veterans, Children, and Youth Activities, Serving the Local Community, Disaster Relief Activities, For Peace and Security, Auxiliary Ideals and Principles.

ARE YOU RELATED TO A VETERAN?

You may be eligible for membership in our Auxiliary. The applicant's relationship with the Veteran can be a spouse, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, grandmother are eligible. Applications for membership can be obtained by calling the post 609.927.7145 or stopping by for the form which is posted on our bulletin board in the post.

Eligibility Requirements for American Legion Auxiliary Membership

Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary shall be limited to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion, and to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of the United States during any of the following periods and died in the line of duty during such service, or who, having received an Honorable Discharge, died after service:

A woman who is eligible for American Legion membership is eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary regardless of whether or not she is a member of The American Legion. However, eligibility of her female relatives (sister, mother, direct decedents) depends upon her membership in The American Legion.
